-
Friday, March 19, 2010 10:07 AM
I bought Windows 7 Ultimate to run on my MacBook Pro. I installed it & It was working fine until suddenly it bacame not genuine. I tried to re-activate again, unfortunately it gave an error back saying I am in the wrong geographical region. I live in middle east & bought windows in middle east. I checked the default location in the control panel, and it says " United Arab Emirates" (where I live). on the windows box it says for distribution in middle east only. So it s valid. Please help me...

type SLUI 4 in the search box, hit enter, select a phone number for the UAE region and call it, do not press any keys to force a real person to answer. Activate by phone, if you have any problems explain the situation to the representative on the phone, have your packaging ready so you can read the information to them if necessary.

I recommend following the steps that Carl_OH provided.
Your Windows needs to be Activated and if Activation over the Internet is failing, the next step is to Activate by Phone.
Thank you,

Please start a new thread, this one is marked as answered and will be ignored by many people. Also visit www.microsoft.com/howtotell and verify that the media and packaging you recieved is legitimate. You have code that may represent the presence of an activation exploit.
HrOnline: 0xC004C4A8
Your key may be genuine however if there is an exploit on your computer that WAT recognizes even a genuine key will not activate.
As I said, start a new thread with all of the pertinant information and someone will be glad to help you. Also, when I say their may be an activation exploit, that does not imply wrongdoing it just means we have to clean that off before you can activate, there are many ways for this to happen to someone without their knowledge.
