How can XP Activate but not pass WGA?
I bought a new Intel ION ITX PC. Along with it Windows XP Prof, holo disk, COA, the whole deal. I get to install XP. Installs fine. Activates fine. Updates itself fine.
But when I run Windows update it decides it needs WGA, installs it, then claims my XP is not genuine:

N/AHow can it not be genuine AFTER it activates and MS assigns a NEW registration key?
How do I even know I typed the product key right? And WHY would it wait so long to complain about it?

- Hello Lee222
Please go to http://microsoft.com/genuine/diag and click the Start Diagnostic. The site will check for common issues as well as ensure your system is set to be able to Validate correctly. If any issues are found the site will either provide a button that will fix the issue automaticly or give instructions on how to do it manually.
Once your Windows passes the Diag with all green marks, click the 'Validate Windows' button.
Once your Windows validates as Genuine and you reboot, you should no longer receive any Non-Genuine messages.
Thank you,
