    Would it be possible to implement the option to select the stitch method (camera motion) before the application starts compositing?

    This would be an incredible time-saver, especially when dealing with hundreds of images.

    This IS possible for the "File:New Structured Panorama ..." case.  That method of starting a project was meant for Gigapan style capture.  But, it turns out to by useful in many other cases as well.  If you have a single row panorama, or a 2x2 grid for example you can uses this.  In this mode you can select the "Camera Motion" in the bottom right corner.

    Unfortunately this is not possible for the normal un-structured wokflow.
