Using ICE., I have successfully stitched together several overlapping photos. The result is a 'flat' panorama which I would now like to convert to a cylindrical panorama that can be rotated using my PC's mouse. Could you please tell me how to achieve this?

Use the 'Publish to web' option to export the panorama to Photosynth.

Unfortunately there is no option for viewing 360 panoramas locally on your PC

Photosynth has a great immersive viewer, so I encourage you to try that out.  You can publish an 'unlisted' photosynth so that only you can see it.

If you need to view your panorama disconnected from the web, then you can use the HD View option. To use this select "Deep Zoom Tileset" from the "Export" options, then click "Deep Zoom settings ..." and select "HD View (for Windows only)".  This will create a web page with an interactive viewer embedded that you can use locally on your PC.
