Hey. I just recently bought an hp w2207h monitor(very shiny and nice) to go with my zt system with vista home premium. When i plug in my monitor and turn the computer on it usually say "NO SIGNAL" and goes to sleep mode. I know it is not the monitor problem since i plug it in to an older pc i had. Also it usually turn on and work normally after i reset the computer several time. Is there any suggestion or ideas. Please i am growing frustrated and about to strap dynamites to my motherboard and send it on it ways. Thank you.

I searched, and found that the HP w2207h is compatible with Windows Vista, as noted on the following pages:

Given your description, I suspect that your problem is most likely with the display drivers, or the display card itself. If updating the drivers via Device Manager doesn't take care of the problem, if you have a different display card handy, a swap-out of the two would eliminate or confirm hardware trouble. Display chipsets on the motherboard are often overridden by any plug-in video cards, or else can be disabled in BIOS.

I didn't find any relevant match-ups when I searched for 'vista w2207h' (I also checked zt Systems website (http://www.ztsystems.com/)).

Thanks i'll try your suggestion. But one more thing, i finally narrow down the problem to the system start up. The pc start up with solid activity color then the activity light turn off. This is different then regular start up activity color, which usually blink several time then boot up to vista. I think it has something to do with the bios if have. I try setting the bios to several different acpi configuration and change some of the priority boot, but it still goes to solid color then off with no activity. What i suspect is that it goes into a sleep mode at first boot and somehow i am not able to wake it up. My mother board is an asus p5n73-am. Is there a way that i can set the pc startup sequence via vista menu or the bios.

I think the relevant bios settings are the ones below, and recommend checking the Asus site (http://www.asus.com/) for information on bios configuration.

1.
ACPI (this is chip-level power control)
