Different back-up target

How do I get Windows Live One Care to recognize a different external hard drive than previously used as a target for back-up? I bought a new, larger storage space, more compact size external hard drive but Windows Live One care failed to back up to it because it was looking for the hard drive I have always used in the past for back-up. I could not find a way to tell it to back-up to the new hard drive.

Slow Remote Control

I find that video performance when viewing a Host's desktop is ok but when I try to remote control their desktop my mouse is barely usable (very slow) and screen paints hang or freeze often then pickup again but slowly. Is there a performance improvement coming in the remote control area?

Problem recording a Conference (CXP 5)

Hi, I installed the archive service in a server without problems and the service is running, but when I press the record button to record a conference with a CXP client I get a message box that says error (picture of message box).

I've tried changing values in the configuration file but nothing.

I hope you can help me.

Problem about ConferenceXP Archive Service connecting to Microsoft SQL database.

The ConferenceXP Archive Service Manager could not connect to the Microsoft SQL database. Ensure that the database is properly created and that the SqlConnectionString specified in the application configuration file is correct.

Problem During Installation

While installaing the Archive service strictly as per the Installation guide, using Default instance name as SQLExpress, the following error message is noticed. Please let us know how to go about solving the problem.

The following is the instance observed in command prompt of the server, in installation step 6.

Archive Service 4.0 is still v1.3?

I see that the ArchiveService download for 4.0 is still named ArchiveServiceSetup13.msi. I just wanted to confirm that is intentional, and that the Archive Service is unchanged.

Import recorded conference

Hi all,

I made several recordings on my Archive Server and I would like to bring the recordings to another Conference XP Archive server.

I know the archived conferences are in a SQL database and in principle should be possibile to export and import these records from it, but I am not expert about SQL.

What is the procedure to export and import them? Is it possible?

PowerPoint Presentation

I installed successfully archive service and I tried to record a conference. That was ok.

But when I play the recorded videoconference I can't see the PowerPoint Presentation. I can see only video and audio stream.

Why?

How can I record a presentation?

How to publish the archiving service?

Hi all,

After having installed the archiving service on my internal server, I would like to make it available for users on the unicast network (outside). Which ports do I need to publish on my ISA server in order for te remote clients to select the archive server?

I find the setup procedure for the archiver a little buggy, would like to discuss this next week when I am in Seattle. Have sent mail to Todd already, but he hasn't responded yet. Is he out of office? Hope to get to meet you guys next week!

Install on localized OS version (italian XP professional)

If you have a localized version of XP, and i suppose any other system, you must change your local service account into AddDatabase.sql and AddSPs.sql before execute the scripts.

This is the table to traslate the scripts (use column: Name for Local Service)

Publicly accessible Archive servers?

The Internet2 Commons is hosting a public ConferenceXP archive service server (just for testing and evaluation). In the 3.5 ConferenceXP client, we pre-configured this in the list of archive service options. Are there other folks out there running public servers?

We're considering pre-populating the list of public archive, venue and reflector servers when the final 4.0 client is released and are wondering if there are enough publicly accessible servers to make this worthwhile...
