AudioVideo_Samples given in ConferenceXP code, not showing proper video

From the above code, given in AudioVideo_Samples application, the video is not coming properly. I am using source code of 5.1 version.

Please let me know what is the problem?

when i process this function i've got a dialogbox. This dialog box contains the following message
"An application is requesting access to a protected item "

this is error or any need for the execution of function.

Some comments about IE8

In IE8, when pressing on (F5), it loads the page from browser cache, not the updated page from server. There is something funny for this, when I click on (F5) first time, the updated page loaded, but when press seconed time, the old page returns, so, and most of times shows the old one. and this is a prblem in the browser(IE8).
Not just this problem, another problem when deleting Temporary Internet Files, a lot of old pages still saved in the cache. So, I delete them manually from folder. This is another problem in the browser (IE8).
Also, IE8 doesn't support Real Player plug-in, while older versions support.
Big problem while browsing in IE8 that browser become suspended and without response, which lets user to wait sometime until responding.
All these problems are in the 8th version of Internet Explorer, not in 1st or 2nd or 3rd version.
I hope Microsoft to fix these problems and other in future versions.

SID image files and Vista 64 won't run MrSID Image Viewer for Windows

Many scanned maps are in SID 16 bit image format. MrSID that the government and other libraries are still using will run on 32 bit Windows XP. I spent money on Vista 64 and don't want to have to spend more money to re-install Windows XP on this computer. My son has the same MOBO and CPU running XP and MrSID runs on his system, but, not mine with Vista 64. Does anybody know how to get this standard to display for conversion to jpg or another format on this Vista 64 I have? example of the standard that I'm talking about can be seen at the following hyperlink, thanks for assistance.

Importing tasks into MS Outlook 2007 from Quick To Do Pro

Hi,

Does anybody know if its possible to import tasks into MS Outlook 2007 from Quick To Do Pro. also it would be handy if it was possible to import calender information into Outlook from Quick To Do.

If anyone has any ideas or knows if its possible or not it would be a big help.

I don't know if this is the correct forum but here goes. I am running windows xp sp3 on a Hp laptop. yesterday I was able to open outlook express but today it will not open. Instead I get the error message" The current identity could not be changed because one of the applications was unable to switch. Close any open dialog boxes in other applications before trying again." The only application open is for connecting to the 3g network. I have tried opening task manager and stopping msimn.exe and restarting the computer, but this doesn't help. I called the 3g service provider but they said it is a microsoft problem so I called microsoft. Microsoft wanted to charge me 999.00 ZAR for something they could have assisted me with over the phone. I tried logging onto supportmicrosoft.com but when I try to log the request all it does is show my previous request and I cannot find an option to log a new request.

I need urgent help with this plataform.

I have Venue Service and Reflector on windowsXP PC. But when i want connect from other PC just reflector service run, but i dont see the venues.

Unable to create schedules manually

Hi,

I am getting following error while i am creating schedule in windows XP with SP3.

I tried to create schedule by going to by going to Start->programs->accessories->system tools->scheduled tasks->new scheduled tasks

After completing the process at the end while clicking finish this error is coming:-

While creating schedule in a getting the following error
The new task could not be created.
The specific error is
0x80070005 Access denied.
Try using the task page browse button to locate the application.

RTP listen Port

Hi Guys

Maybe I have missed something, but is it possible to set the listen port for a RTP session?

I am trying to build a very simple RTP app, but am running into difficulties as I only have one windows machine easily available to develop on, and if I cannot set the listen port I will not be able to develop with only one machine. I am also trying to set up a simple unicast stream - does it matter that I am using unicast addresses? Are there any specific changes I need to make to use only unicast?

At the moment I am trying to do the following:

This seems to work as I can see the message on the network using a network sniffer (getting bounced as the port I’m sending to is not open, but at least it is going. The source port is set to the same as the destination port, which would be fine normally, unless you are trying to communicate between two participants on one machine)

I need to be able to set the listen port / destination port as the application I am trying to develop will be negotiating these ip/port combinations through a combination of SIP and SDP

Any pointers as to how I can accomplish this very simple two way unicast RTP stream would be greatly appreciated. I tried to look at the two way unicast conference example I found somewhere in the svn, but this is as far as I have managed to get......

P.S. I havn't had much luck trying to build the source code of conference XP using visual studio 2008 express edition. Bandwidth is rather limited here, and the windows server SDK is too large to download (1330.0 MB). I will make a plan if I need it in order to add any features (such as this listening port - I already attempted to do this, but my attempt resulted in a listening port being opened in the 20xx range instead of port 8888 that I set it to.......)

I m using MSR.LST.Net.RTP namespace from conference XP and VS2005 to make application like video and audio streaming. I have to make different rooms in it. like in yahoo messenger group chat. Need help regarding the "sessions". How to use them to create different rooms. and How a user can see how many rooms are active and can join any one of it. I have developed one user streaming and other receiving. Need to move forward to complete it . Any Kind of help concerning this query will be appreciated.

Hi,

I'm a newbe in programming with VB.NET using ConferenceXP APIs.

Is there a possibility to get the number of users connected to a virtual conferenceroom (Venue) programmed in VB.NET.

To get all the available conferencerooms isn't the problem, but how can I see, who is connected to every room without entering this room?

This will be interesting to see, how many users are connected in every room before enteriing the room or to see whether the room is free or used.

The other point is to check, how frequently the conferencerooms are used.

Hope, there are some helpfull programmers, who can help me (or show me the direction) with my task.

Inkboard with ConferenceXP

Hi, I read Hai Ning's article “Inkboard – Tablet PC Enabled Design-Oriented Learning” and am interested in using that approach. Does anyone have the Inkboard-ConferenceXP system or detailed instructions on how to recreate it? I realize that Inkboard is no longer supported officially, but Inkscape’s implementation is still buggy and connects through Jabber, not Conference XP. Can anyone offer assistance?

ConferenceXP in WEB

Hi,

I downloaded the ConferenceXp source code......

when i tried to build 'MSR.LST.ConferenceXP.VenueService', i recievced the following error..

"...It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.
This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS..."

I rectified this by commenting the Authentication and Session parts ( Since overriding is not allowed for these tags ) in web.config of sub directory.

But after tht , I faced another issue as follows ....

" Error 37
Could not create type 'MSR.LST.ConferenceXP.VenueService.VenueService'. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Research\ConferenceXP\Source Code\October2006\MSR.LST.VenueService\WebService\VenueService.asmx "

Note : am using iis 5.1 .......... will it be the issue...!!...???

Pls help me to overcome it.........
