Locked XP Pro Client on domain

I have a small office network, about 15 PC's, one of which had a problem with the domain users.  I was able to log in, due to the PC having cached my password, and was trying to remove and reinstall the domain.

I was able to remove the domain, however it could not find the domain again.  Now the computer is locked as a workgroup computer, without any users.

Is there a way to bypass the login or a failsafe login that allows me to add the domain back again?

    Hello Golfin,

Are you able to access the computer at all or are you completely locked out? ? Can you access it with administrator?

If you are completely locked out, try this:

Log in with user name 'administrator'. It will be a local logon, since it's in a workgroup, you will no longer have the option to log in to the domain or to this computer. Try a blank password, maybe you get lucky otherwise try to guess what the local administrator password was when it was initially set up.

If the machine was in a domain and their was a group policy that change the administrator name to something different, try using that login name & password.

I was unable to login as the admin, our group policy on the network removes the admin from the local directory as a security measure.

I am currently reinstalling WinXP Pro, as no user is on the local directory and its not connecting to the server.
