My webcam is working but I can not access the audio video settings. I don't know what to do. The link is there but it is in a lighter text and I can not click on it.

Hi, All

I was confused that a Restart Required message pops up everyday, I have to restart my laptop when I logon my system first time every morning. The message said that A program has finished running and requires that your computer be restarted. To restart your computer now, first close all running programs and then click, Restart. Your computer will restart in X minutes X seconds. There are two buttons for choice, Hide and Restart.

I deleted all temporary internet files, deleted temporary files in temp folder, but the message still pops up everyday.
Have you come across this problem? thanks for your reply.

Since last 48 hours my taskbar shows the Windows Security Centre sheild in red color with a cross. A Spyware Alert pops out every 2 minutes from the Windows Security with a loud bang telling me my PC is infected with spyware and I must register my copy of SecuritySoldier and remove spyware threats. It is followed by another pop up in a red bordered dialog box appearance that shows an Inflitration Attempt message saying a virius of the nature of a Trojan Dropper/Password Stealer is attacking my PC from an IP Address 122.146.119.52 attacking Port No. 38691 and asks me to block it or not. My Windows Security Centre keeps on recommending me to buy a $49.90 worth of an anti spy software from paybillsecurity.com to get rid of my problem. Paybillsecurity.com is not Microsoft Corp.

I ran my Norton Internet Security scanner to remove this problem and to my dismay the NIS came with a spyware free report. I then downloaded and ran a full scan for 6 hours with the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool September 2009 and it too showed no malware present and gave a clean report. I visited the Microsoft site and was prompted to instal Windows LiveOneCare to solve the problem. I downloaded the trialware and was prompted by it to uninstal Norton Internet Security which had paid subscription for another eight months, because of conflict and I did away with Norton Internet Security (after its failure to detect this malady) and let the Live OneCare scanner run. It did show at end a Trojan Dropper being quarantined and another malware being removed by deletion. After the scan was over my Windows Security Centre returned to normalcy. The Windows Live OneCare program rated my PC as fair. The Spyware Alerts stopped appearing. So impressed was I with this relief, that I decided to buy a licence for one year and paid Rs.1999.00 with my credit card and and my Live OneCare rating turned into good from fair for my PC. This sense of security vanished into thin air after my reeboot. I am back to square one with Spyware Alert popups from SecuritySoldier through my Windows Security Centre whic has resumed recommending the registration of this third party anti spy software at aprice of US Dollars 49.95. What gives?

When I try and Build the ConferenceAPI solution without any alteration, I get "The referenced component 'MessengerAPI' could not be found." along with errors concerning the same. Why does this happen and what can I do to fix it? I tried "using MessengerAPI" which was suggested in another forum.

Hi all,

I was just browsing through the source of the rtp implementation and figured that it might be useful if there would be a way to use TCP rather than UDP as the underlying transport protocol.

I know, I know RTP does already the sequencing and TCP does re-transmitting but sometimes if you are behind a http-firewall you only option is to go with a TCP connection since UDPs are blocked...

If anyone is interested in that, please let me know!

Hi, I am new to ConferenceXP. I want to basically setup a video conferencing system initially using the ConferenceXP setup. The installer works fine on the LAN. But it does not run when the parties are on different network. When I start the UNICAST mode and enter the 'global IP', I can see my own camera feeds on my system but not the cam feeds of the pc on the other PC. The same thing happens on the other end. I have a few queries pertaining to this.

Queries:-
--> Do I have to make any initial configuraion on my system?
--> Any other settings ?

I RECENTLY BOUGHT AN WINDOWS XP NET BOOK and it doesnt have a cd drive and for no reson out of no where i have viruses but i cant figure out how to install windows live one care because i already have it purchased. i tried downloading this program on the internet and after so long of waiting (hours) then it finally said process cant be complete because anothere instance of windows installer is on. WHAT SHOULD I DO ? :(

Hi,

I have a dual os windows and fedora. fedora is main boot. i used login to windows.

Go to Disk Management under “Storage” and deleted the linux partition. and formated for new drive.

and i was working for 2 hr. after restarting the system it opened the commant promt like grub>..

it couldn't boot in windows as i deleted the linux partition.

how cum i solve this issue to boot in my window...

Dears,
I have developed a FTP Server as per RFC 959. And it is working perfectly with LINUX standared clients but when i am trying to loging with windows explorer, I am getting the error-windows as USER already Logged in.

I found the problem as windows explorer sending two time the USER **** to my FTP server.

How can i handle this problem and why windows explorer is sending second time USER command ?

First attempt, the user is autherised but not showing any folder structure. Immediately explorer is giving second try as USER ****.

Please hwlp to comeout from this probs..

Unable to find ScreenScraperFilter.ax in the local directory

but the file CxpRtpFilters.ax is exists in the installation directory.this is very puzzed me.

It can't registred with regsvr32 too?

I have Windows XP and purchased Windows Live One Care today. Apparently, my Internet Explorer is not working, or is compromised in some way. It seems to disappear. I've tried to Download Internet Explorer 8 -- but the Open box (upper left corner) is blank. And I can no longer reach sites through IE. How can I speak with a Live One Care advisor, or can you please suggest other ways to help.

Conference XP Client Memory Leakage.

Hello!
When I use Conference XP Client with 1 CIF camera for long time (1 hour plus), the "Buffers In Use" PC Counter permanently grows.
As a result, the "Number Of Grows" exeeds the "MaxGrowsNumber" and Video hangs.
As I understand, there are Packets, that asquired BufferChunks from BufferPool, and these packets always alive and never recycled.

For example, I've found that in RTPStreamFec class, in InRangeFec method, after the call to Undecodable() there is no call to
ReturnDataBuffer(packet.ReleaseBuffer()), that solves the leakage of FEC Packets.

Please, tell me, whether are you aware of the problem?
If so, please tell me how to solve it.

Hi! Every One.

I am using Windows Xp Home Edition. One day when i tried to shutdown my computer, It showed me "installing Updates Don't unplug or turnoff of your Computer". By mistake I turned off my monitor. After that instance my system is not booting up. My monitor power lights blinks. I was Wondering why it happened. Is there a Possible way that a monitor turning off and updates getting conflicts. I don't found any solution so i reinstalled Windows Xp. Now it is working fine. I said these to my friends they are making fun out of this. Please Respond to this post, This issue is haunting my mind. I want answer from you people.

Due to the work required, I need to view the logon status on the remote computers, and I hope a command or a third part facility could help me to view the current user account logged on the remote computer which belongs to the same domain.
I have failed to achieve the goal via "net user" or "net account", is there another to use?

User not appearing in Venue

I installed Venue Service Manager on an IIS machine and setup an internal Multicast IP Address (239.0.0.1)

I installed CXP on my laptop and configured it to view the Venue service setup above (modified the line in the CXPClient.exe.config to point to the web server above).

I installed CXP on a tablet PC and also configured it to view the Venue service setup above.

When I load CXP on either machine I see both a local venue and the venue service setup above. When I join the venue setup above, everything works as expected (on both machines). Video and audio are being sent/received. Looking on the Venue Service Manager (after executing the GetParticipants command) I see both clients. On each client's CXP panel I can see the other client as having joined the venue.

Here is the problem.

Another user on a different subnet has loaded CXP with the same configurations that I am using (venue setup above).

When CXP is loaded the user sees both the local venue for his machine and the venue I setup above. I used the GetParticipants command and show the user as a member of the appropriate venue. However, when he joins the venue he only sees himself as having joined and does not see either of the other clients and the other clients do not see him.

Both the subnet that I am on and the subnet that the user is on are internal to my company, but they are different subnets. Any suggestions?

I have looked everywhere and I'm not finding an answer. I believe I should be able to send a page from OneNote and have that page embedded in the email message. Whenever I try to send it puts the page in as an attachment. Very few people in my company have OneNote at this time, so the OneNote format is not usable. It also attaches an html file, but I would much rather it be embedded in the body of the message. Are there settings I am missing?

- Does conference XP allow you to customize the UI?

- Will we be able to save the audio and video sessions which are shared in conferences into the folders on our machines?

- Will conference xp have desktop sharing?

- Conference XP allows participants to chat. Is it via VOIP or with instant messging?

Which Camera System is Good?

We are currently setting up tablet PC-based classroom environment. Classroom presenter will be used to conduct the teaching. In the future, we want to make the enviroment easily extendable to remote venues through ConferenceXP's venue services. At this moment, we plan to purchase a camera system consisting several cameras shooting from different angles and the cameras will be mounted on the ceiling. Here I have a few questions below and hope you can share your experience.

1. What camera system is good in terms of easy integration with the ConferenceXP's venue service and reasonable video quality? What is the rough cost?

2. Are there any known precautions we shall take in selection of our camera system?

3. Are there any instructions or guide avaiable somewhere which allow us follow closely to set up the teaching environment? Please guide me there if there is such a help document.

Audio Problem

Hi, everyone:

I found that the audio will have problem when the client using windows media 11. The sound is not continued or is distorted. I want to know if it does relates with the audio codecs of windows media play 11?? And the audio codes of windows media player 11 is different with windows media player 10?? I found that conferenceXP using the compressor "Windows Media Audio V2" and the decompressor "WMAudio Decoder"...

And I met some situation:

1) windows xp sp2, with wmp 11, and using audio compressor, when test audio locally, the sound is perfect, but when in the venue, the sound is bad!!

2) windows server 2008, with wmp11, and using audio compressor, when test audio locally, the sound is bad, when in the venue, the sound is bad too.

And the solution is likely to not use the audio compressor (so we escape from windows media)....

so, to conclude my question:

1. the audio codec in wmp 10 and wmp11 is not compatible?

2. what will affect the audio quality? the wmp version( relatied to the audio codec), the microphone, the sound card..?? or...

Conference XP RTP Stack & Windows Mobile

Hello, i am currently working on a fmc client based on Windows Mobile and C#.We already finished the signalization part and now we are searching for an appropriate rtp api for Windows Mobile. Since there seems to exist no pure .net RTP API for Windows mobile we are in really big troubles. Btw: 100% .net is required in our project

There are already several postings regarding the porting of the Conference XP RTP Layer to Windows Mobile. Has anyone really tried it until now? If not we would like to give it a try.

Or has anyone another idea?

Using RtpSession for a VOIP call

Hi,

Am I correct in thinking that I should be able to use the RtpSession for initiating a VOIP call?

If so, then how would it work?

I'm at the stage where I use SIP to establish a session, but I need to include media, coded and port information in the SDP. I can't find documentation on the Payload Types.

Right now I have:

HookRtpEvents();
IPEndPoint rtpEndPoint = new IPEndPoint( client.LocalIPEndPoint.Address, 16384 );

RtpSession rtpSession = new RtpSession( rtpEndPoint,
new RtpParticipant( username, username ), true, true );

I figure PCMA will be for Audio, right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
