Questionnetsh.exe was not found

CA virus had an update version (6604) that mistakenly identifed some files as virus.   I was able to restore the files on one computer from the quarentine folder.  On a second computer, my wife dumped the files.  I am getting an annoying dialog box that pops up repeatedly that has the following:

    Headline:  "nmctxth.exe-unable to locate component.

Body:  "the application has failed to star because nets.exe was not found.  Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

Any ideas on how to fixe?

    Thanks.

I have had the exact same problem.  Even as I write this, the dialog box pops on with the same headline and body that you have written about.  Have you found a way to fix this annoying problem yet?  Please respond to me either on this forum or at my e-mail address:  llemone@hawaii.rr.com

    Let me know.

    Thanks,
    Larry

I have had the exact same problem since 7/8/09.  After reading your question and how the error started after CA virus identified it as a virus (I have the same CA software, I went into the CA Anti Virus advanced settings and opened up the quarantine files.  I restored the netsh.exe files and the net.exe files.  That error hasn't come back yet.  Yeahhhhhh.  I'm so excited. That error was just plain annoying.

I hope you and Halenapua are able to do the same with your CA Security software.

    Good Luck!!

I just installed LELA (HDN) on my computer and started getting this message today

    "nmctxth.exe-unable to locate component.

Body:  "the application has failed to star because nets.exe was not found.  Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I use XP, have CA, went to CA and checked quarantine files as suggested on this forum but there aren't any files in the quarantine folder.

Any help resolving this would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Thanks FHooper!!!  My files had the exact same date, and were still in the quarantine folder.  I restored them, and was able to clear that aggravating pop-up!
