    we tried taking the ownership of the folder ,no go
    if i remove the handle of that particular folder from process explorer,yes i can delete the folder
    there is a kb which i came across
    but still researching
    will update soon

        It's strange, but I have had problems deleting folders for some time now - both in Windows XP and Windows 7.
        I have a feeling that it might be related to Windows Search ... but I have nothing to back this up to tbh...

        The best solution/workaround I could find was to use a utility that identifies the locking process(es) such as lockhunter http://lockhunter.com .
