    Hello folks,

I'm kind of new in the hardware world, and I have a problem finding the differences b/w the different barebone boxes that are commercially available. Meaning, I don't know what best suits my application requirements.

The software that is supposed to be installed in the box will be able to detect some network covert channels. Thus, it will be placed inline b/w a firewall/router and an IPS.

I need some suggestions on such boxes, vendors, prices, ... etc

Note: the application dose not need super super box requirements. Even mini size would suffice!

    Thanks in advance,

Hi there....I don't know if the mobility of the computer is importent to you...if so, you can try netbooks (not note book)...that are slim down version of laptops ...very light, mobile, and shouldn't cost you more than $500 ... HP has some models too...see below for the spec:

    Hello Jaz

Thanks abut this not exactly wut I'm looking for. I'm looking for a hardware box that is rackable like the firewalls and IPSs. At the same time I would prefer a smaller one that can be connected to both a firewall and an IPS at the same time. Thus, the communication ports/connectors are very important to me.
