My daughter is being homeschooled and she just recieved a new computer. In our house, all of the bedrooms are upstairs. My computer has broadband and we got her a linksys wireless-G usb adapter so she could get on the internet without us having to put in the telephone line etc. We're having a devil of a time just trying to get this little devil working with no luck. Anybody with any ideas?I've even installed it on my computer but no luck. There's a box that pops up that wants you to take the flash drive to the computer that has the internet connection and add it to the flash drive. We did that but no go. Any ideas?

Since you're using a Linksys, I'd suggest giving them a call - the provide free phone support for their products.

You need to have something for the wireless to connect to. You don't mention a wireless router... do you have one?
