This forum is moving the week of 1/27/2009

Microsoft has created a new forums platform (MSDN | TechNet | Expression | Microsoft) with increased performance, stability, and an improved user experience. During the week of 1/27/2009 this forum will move from the Forums 2.x Platform (http://forums.microsoft.com/) to the Forums 3.x Platform. To make sure this is a smooth transition, we want everyone using this forum to have a chance to try out the new forums in advance, and give feedback. We’ve created a Sandbox forum, where you can create threads and try out functionality, and a suggestions forum where you can give us your feedback. Please take some time to go to the new forums today and let us know what you think.

On the day the forum moves to the new platform, a post will be made letting you know the process has been started, and the forum will be locked to new posts. Once the process is complete, a final post to the forum will be made letting you know the forum has moved.

1. All posts in the forum will be preserved

2. Any points you’ve received for replies will move with you (on a per forum basis)

3. Any bookmarks to this forum or threads within this forum will redirect to their new location

4. Your “My Threads” will be preserved on the new platform

The only thing you’ll need to do after migration is set Windows Live Alerts for any threads you were tracking.

MSR toolkit DVD

I have just started playing with the MSR. Onm the website, it says that a DVD is available on request. I have emailed in the last week but still waiting for response Is there anychance you could provide a link /cater my request for that DVD?

error message: failed to connect to data publisher

Trying to use MSRSense and I have been following the user guide. I tried implementing Using Live sensors (2.3) The command prompt shows that miuSEE is started, MotePacketDispatcher is created, the serial forwarder is successfully connected at localhost:9001, Client is connected on socket 448 and session ID = 1 is added, and then the cursor just keeps blinking. Port 1 of the Microserver Interaction Console gives me this error "failed to connect to data publisher". Does anyone know what this means and what I can do to rectify it?

1. Weather data from Weather.com
2. Temperatures from a sensor network deployed in an office building
3. Soil sensor data from JHU ( Life Under Your Feet )

How to publish webcam?

Hello.

I'd like to publish the webcam. Here is my code following the tutorials. Now I'm using webcam server using "webcam-server" with Logitech webcam. (I'm wondering whether they have some restriction to implement general webcam server)

When I run this code, I got the error at "camera.getImage()".

Could you give me the spec of this object (CameraDriver) and idea how to publish the image after capture and to publish the video stream?

MSR Sense 0.2a1 release

We've released a patch for MSR Sense v 0.2a. The patch contains bug fixes for MoteForwarder. The previsous version has a queue management problem that drops packets sometimes.

MSP430 Programming

Hi,

We are trying to do acoustic processing for TI MSP430F1611 microcontroller. and tried to implement a 512-points FFT within 0.25seconds but not able to squeeze in.

I saw a paper published by Feng Zhao on mPlatform during IPSN2007, and it shows that a 512-pts FFT can be done within 100msec.

Wondering if we can download this code/lib from any of your download site, or is it part of some toolkits?

How to get sensor description by name?

I'd like to get sensor information by name from sensormap that I registered.
Could you anyone can tell me how to implement it? I attached the source code.
When I publish this code, I got the error (Error 1 Failed to connect to 'https://atom.research.microsoft.com/sensordatahub/service.asmx/' with the following error: Unable to create the Web 'https://atom.research.microsoft.com/sensordatahub/service.asmx/'. The Web server does not appear to have the FrontPage server extensions installed. 1 1 sensorPublisher).
