At one time I had 3 PC s linked to One Care. I have removed 2 of them. I have removed one of them but one remains and One Care will not let me remove the last one. Have tried to repair link already. Please advise.

virus threads of server 2003

Malware ans spy ware threads affected my server 2003 standard editions stillnow not working on the services.msc , gpedit.msc,secpol.msc, all services. i m other pc mmc.exe and immc.exe files repalce it after just showing microsoft figure at time closed. how to solved the this problem, pls needful me now

Virtualized card's unexpected behaviour!!

HEllo!!

working with virtualwifi, when i install it, while connecting at an Infrastructure network, it virtualize the card showing the ssid and mode for that and when i start virtualwifiservice and do ping some nodes, it successfully pings and shows reply packets arrival.

Problem occurs when i perform the same while staying at AdHoc network,(i.e. before installation of virtualwifi my laptop is connected with another in adhoc mode) and when i perform a ping operation for any node of that network, all the reply packet gets time out........................
Now why this is happening?
How can i get rid of it?

I need immediate help...........................................

Problems compiling VirtualWiFi from Source (WDK 6001.18002 + SDK 6.1)

I have problems to build VirtualWiFi from sources on an xp machine with WDK 6001.18002 and SDK v6.1 installed.

I managed to get service/* to compile and link by adding following macros to service/sources:

USE_MSVCRT=1
USE_STL=1
STL_VER=70

Driver/* needed only a warning disabling #pragma and now compiles and links, too.

Now i'm stuck with virtualwifihelper/* . It compiles but linker says:

errors in directory d:\virtualwifi\sources\virtualwifihelper
link : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _mainCRTStartup
d:\virtualwifi\sources\virtualwifihelper\virtualwifihelper.obj : error LNK2019:

I'm running 'build -ceZ' in WinXP build environment and SDK_INCLUDE_PATH is properly set.

Do the commands for WEP encryption work in version 1.0?

Main page says WEP encryption is not supported, but there are commands like

"WirelessUtils < unique_substring > setssid < ssid > < is/ah > -wep < disable/enable > -auth < open/shared > -key < key if using WEP >"

in the instructions, I tried to connect to my WEP "protected" network without success until I changed the encryption type to OPEN, but I'd like to use in the worse one of the cases WEP encryption, is there a way to do so? I found very useful your program, I hope to find a way, thanks.

VirtualWiFi on WinXP 64bit(or 2k3 64bit)

Hello,

I Own A laptop with an "Intel(r) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN" (as stated on the device manager) card operated on a 64bit version of windows XP

As reported earlier on this thread http://forums.microsoft.com/MSR/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3239217&SiteID=37 this card shuld be nativly supported by the software, but when I tried to install the service and run it, it stated that the device does not have one of the keywords.

I Guess the service could not find the device becuse the comperation is case-sensitive while the keywords are "wireless" and "wifi" my card has "Wireless" and "WiFi"

Becuse I had a problem recompiling the code as mention @ the F.A.Q. I tried to hack vwifi.dll and hex-edit wireless to "Wireless", that did not bear any fruits.

But when I went to my WiFi Connection properties it DID mention that it has the vWifi driver installed onto the stack.

when I tried "manual install" windows refused to recognize the drivers on the inf files.

As fas as I know 32 bit drivers aren't supported while 32Bit applications are,

So I tried recompiling the driver under 64bit build enviroment (using not the DDK, but the newer WDK 2008)

I Got some error regarding a certin define in the code, after I did a litle bypass to get the code to compile, it did.

But I was yet unable to get Windows Driver Stack to install the virtual driver on my WiFi Card.

Can anyone help me of give me some tips about how to run Virtual WiFi on the 4965AGN under Windows XP 64bit SP2?

btw, trying to compile the whole folder (as mentioned in the F.A.Q.) got me 12 total errors.

Hi,

My card is Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG.
My IS SSID is "WangLei's Home".

At first, i'm using a 128bit wep key, the installation seems good, but the network not work.

Cannot get a ip from DHCP. I manually set a ip, but cant ping the router's ip address.

and then, I changed the wep key to a 64bit one, the problem remains.

and then, I set not to use wep, nothing better.

I can connect to the router without the VirtualWiFi all the 3 configurations.

My install process is:
1. stop the wzc service.
2. WirelessUtils.exe 2200BG setssid "WangLei's Home" IS -wep enable -auth open -key **********

....
Setmode succeeded
SetSSID successful

3. VirtualWiFi.exe install -wep enable -auth open -key **********

Installing the VirtualWiFi Driver...
Successfully installed the VirtualWiFi Driver.
Installing the VirtualWiFi Service ...
VirtualWiFi install complete.
VirtualWiFi IS WangLei's HomeThe service is starting.

And there is a VirualWiFi IS WangLei's Home adapter appears.
But the connection does not work.

Cannot connect to any networks.

Hi, I have installed VirtualWiFi recently, it successfully installed and the miniport showed up in the network connections. When it tries to connect to the DHCP on my router, it fails and it automatically assigns itself a private address. I also tried manualy setting the TCP/IP info, still with no success. I am using Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN wireless adaptor.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

why can't i uninstall virtualwifi completely?

when i try to uninstall virtualwifi using command: >virtualwifi uninstall enter

the console prints: the service is stopping, then print nothing, it seems to wat for sth, like lock?

it doesn't printf virtualfiwi uninstalled.

And, i find there two "miniport drivers" in computer device management. one is:"Virtualwifi Miniport driver" the other is "Virtualwifi miniport driver #2".

So , how can i do to uninstall the virtualwifi completely........

Exception when debugging VirtualWiFi ??

Using Microsoft Academic Resource ToolKit 2005 and working with VirtualWiFi, everytime when i start the VirualWiFiSvc.exe (VirtualWiFi client service) it asks for debugging and when i debug it using VisualStudio 2005 , following exception occurs:-

Exception at line :- 01002D5E mov dl,byte ptr [ecx]

I am using Broadcom 802.11a/b/g WLAN Adapter

I am totally unable to solve this problem and need immidiate help !!

Please help me as soon as possible!!
