I use Windows One Care, and somehow this "protection program" I purchased from microssoft did not prevent Alpha AntiVirus from installing on my computer.  This Alpha cannot be deleted through usual means, not by remove software and not by one care.  Alpha tries to prevent me from viewing web pages, it constantly pops up wanting me to purchase this malevent program.  I purchased One Care to prevent this from happening.  Please help!!!

I haven't heard of that variant, but there are many, many phony security products that get delivered via web pages through pop-ups. I'm sorry that OneCare wasn't able to block this one. In the future, the minute you see one of these phony pop-ups, do not click it. Close the web browser via Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) and then go to Control Panel/Internet Options and immediately delete temporary internet files and cookies, before rebooting the machine. That usually prevents the code in the pop-up from executing - which happens when you click anything on the pop-up, even close, in most cases.
    In the meantime:

If you are using Windows Live OneCare and you have been infected, but OneCare did not detect or cannot remove the malware, please contact support to report this and for help with removal.
