after using OneCare removal tool, USB central backup drive share name still "OneCareShare387$"

Wednesday, May 19, 2010 2:26 PMI used the Live OneCare removal tool to remove the program from my desktop and laptop computers. For both computers, my OneCare centralized backup device was an external usb hard drive connected to the desktop computer. Properties for this drive still shows its share name as OneCareShare387$. I'd like to continue sharing the drive so that both computers can backup to it. My question is this: Should I just change the drive's share name and begin using the XP backup program built in to both computers? Also, what about deleting the old OneCare backup folder? Any anticipated trouble there?

You can rename the drive if you would like to. If there is nothing on the drive other than One Care backups formatting the drive is the easiest way to remove the One Care backups. If there is other data on the drive or if you prefer not to format see this post on how to delete One Care backups - http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/onecarebackupandrestore/thread/f0281206-ed0b-474c-8541-cc50843e5be2
