Windows Live one Care ended. Won't allow me to continue to back up

Tuesday, October 12, 2010 5:14 PMNow that my Live One care is ended, it will no longer allow me to backup files. I use an Iomega Prestige ext hd. Also XP SP 3. When I try to use the backup utility in xp, the options don't show my ext drive (drive I), as a destination. I don't know how to get on there as a destination for the backup. Any ideas on how to remedy this? Thank you to all

That is correct.
If you used OneCare for backups, you'll still be able to restore from old backups if you use the OneCare Restore tool - http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/onecarebackupandrestore/thread/e5d686c8-762b-4b22-bc08-bfb93f911e57, but you'll need to seek an alternative backup solution.
I don't know why it isn't seeing your external drive, as Windows Backup in XP can write to a USB drive as a valid destination. I recommend posting your issue in the XP forums:
