Locked registry files missing

    hi there, I have had major probs with my comp over last few days, the anti-virus i had did not pick up on many of the viruses, when i downloaded the trial version of live onecare if found and deleted several trojan viruses.Before downloading the  onecare, I tried riddding it myself and deleted a few files here and there. I now need to find what files are missing and try to replace them. Do i need to do a registry scan? and if so can anyone recommend a decent one. There was a blue screen, when i started my computer but that has now gone. However on start up says files are missing.

      If you are missing system files you can try the System File Checker. Start>Run, enter " sfc /scannow" without the quotes in the Run box. This will restore any missing or damaged system files.

        Thanks Jim for your reply tried it and nothing happened gonna have to take this computer to be mended lol. Been at this for three days now and i think it's beyond me ty again.
