hi there, I have had major probs with my comp over last few days, the anti-virus i had did not pick up on many of the viruses, when i downloaded the trial version of live onecare if found and deleted several trojan viruses. Before downloading the onecare, I tried riddding it myself and deleted a few files here and there. I now need to find what files are missing and try to replace them. Do i need to do a registry scan? and if so can anyone recommend a decent one. There was a blue screen, when i started my computer but that has now gone. However on start up says files are missing.

If you are missing system files you can try the System File Checker. Start>Run, enter " sfc /scannow" without the quotes in the Run box. This will restore any missing or damaged system files. -
