Locked replace windows live one care

    I wish to replace Live One Care with Security Essentials and Defender. Can I simply download the latter two and then uninstall Live One Care? I'm still using XP.

      If you install Microsoft Security Essentials do not install Windows Defender. MSE protects from spyware as well as viruses so Defender is not needed.                 No. OneCare must be removed first. When OneCare is removed and the PC reboots, the Windows Firewall will prevent any inbound intrusions. While MSE is installing, don't open your email or browse the web or open any other files. let MSE finish installing and the PC will then be protected by MSE.
