I've started to see this in the last weeks or so. Search engines are re-directed to 3rd party sites, and searching for a cure reveals HUNDREDS of sites offering answers that require payment; Almost all of these sites are NOT main line relible sites, and many have weird names not relating to anti spyware. Microsoft Securityseibly Essentials was supposedly updated to fix this, but it is NOT working. Malwarebytes, AntiSuperspy, Search and Destroy, hitman Pro have all failed to remove the infection. Combofix, when downloaded, insists it is corrupt; The virus has either mutated or been re-written. The computer is really useless as all or most searchs results in redirects.
HELP!! In 20 years of repairing computers I have never run into anything as bad as this!!

Start here - https://support.microsoftsecurityessentials.com/
and select the link that says - I think my computer is infected - and then select the support option for phone, chat or email (options will vary by Region)
If you are in North America, you can call 866-727-2338 for free help from Microsoft for virus and spyware infections. If you need additional help with Microsoft Security Essentials the forums are here - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect
