Defrag not working

Sir,
For some reason during the last several checkups by MS One Care, it gives a message to the effect that something is preventing defragmentation from working, and to contact support which I am doing. I have not figured out how to get defragmentation to work properly, and I have no way to tell what is interferring with it. Thanks. captain123.

Sometimes running chkdsk to check for and repair any file system errors will resolve the problem. How to run chkdsk - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265
