How do I enter notes / description for each entry in a timesheet in Project Server 2010?
Does anyone know if it's possible to allow (or preferably require) a description to be added to time entries in the online timesheet in Project Server 2010? We want to switch from a custom SharePoint-based timesheet to this product, but we have to enter notes about what we did for each and every time entry (not just for the whole task for that week).

Unfortunately out of the box what your after isn't possible. I agree, being able to put individual comments against a timesheet entry per day would be a fantastic feature and one of those things that professional services companies ask for time and time again.
As I understand, you do have two choices though:
hope this helps,
- As the PS database has been quoted previously as supporting this requirement, you could extend the JSGrid used to collect the timesheet to capture and record this information. You can get more info on this from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee535898(office.14).aspx
- The other option and slightly less elegant solution would be to create a number of custom fields as detailed in this blog post http://gj80blogtech.blogspot.com/2010/05/daily-timesheet-comment-in-project.html
