I'm afraid Glenn that there is no trial version for Project Standard; please check at

Thanks a million, Not sure what the moderator was smoking but your answer was exactly what I was looking for. moderator obviously either did not read the whole question or did not understand. (English is not everyone first language)
Your response has been a life saver as I need to complete a plan for a company i am contracting to and am 600km's away from my supplier and disk. I am only back in Durban South Africa next weekend so this is great.
Regards
Glenn

Sapna read the whole question and his english is just fine. In the past the only way to do what you were looking for was to downlod the trial and then use your key to make it the 'full version'. There is not a trial for Project Standard, hence his answer. The download site referenced is relatively recent and not very well known.
Glad you got your answer. Have a nice day.

As Brian Kennemer correctly stated, ??The download site referenced is relatively recent and not very well known.? I can tell you I was not aware of this site either, and so I learned something new as well.I am glad you got the correct answer and I am glad you can get a working copy of the Microsoft Project Standard 2010. Keep in mind that this user forum is staffed entirely by volunteers, and we answer questions because we love the software and are dedicated to the user community.Hope this helps.

Okay everyone. My apologies. I was rather frustrated with microsoft for giving me the run around (do any of you know how slow our connection in South Africa Is) for 3 hours i tried to get some info out of them and nothing. Then in desperation I tried the forum and got the MODERATOR (my first time on a forum) I assumed (yes I know what that stands for) the lady was a Microsoft person. I DID however give her the benefit of English not being her first language.
I vented in a minor way.
To Ms. Sapna Shukla - Project MVP from Glenn McLean - Wilson PMP my apologies for venting on you. from the number of points you have I once again assume you are a respected and esteemed member of this forum. From the responses in your defense I can take with some certainty that you are the genuine article. Again apologies from a fatigued and frustrated South African Project Manager.
Kindest Regards
Glenn

Thanks a lot Brian, Ismet and Dale, I'm glad that everyone voiced their thoughts to help Glenn understand, that we are voluntary experts who work to make sure that the Forum users get best and multiple resolutions for their queries. I can understand your frustration Glenn, but on Forums one should be modest while venting. Thanks everyone!!
