質問 Standard1 Calendar in Project Server 2007

    Hi,

I have a project which is saved locally in my system.

In that plan i have a calendar called "Standard1", which is created locally.

I had uploaded the plan to server using "Import project to enterprise" option, i mapped all the local resources with the enterprise resources and while saving the "Standard1" calendar only available, so i selected the same.

After importing i checked in the resource sheet all the resources are having "Standard1" calendar instead of "Standard" calendar.

In the plan which i was saved locally the resources are having "Standard" calendar.

I tried to changed the calendar of the resources in Project Server, but "Standard" calendar doesn't visible in Resource sheet. Only "Standard1" calendar is available.

I had checked in the Enterprise Global(Tools-Organizer-Calendar tab),i can see only Standard1 calendar in Enterprise Global. If i try to delete the "Standard1" calendar, it shows "Standard calendar cannot be deleted or renamed".

I checked in the Enterprise Calendars only one calendar "Standard" is available.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this "Standard1" calendar?

I have not seen this exact problem, but I have seen similar mixups of element names on Administrators' computers.  Clear your local cache.

Open the Project in Project Professional when it is connected to Project Server

Try to Save As the Project and on the Save As window Change the Calendar to the Standard Calendar on Server.

Once you are able to do that make sure the new project has the right calendar and you can delete the old project.

The problem is, while saving i don't see the "Standard" calendar, i can see only "Standard1" calendar in the drop down list.

But in server only one calendar is there, which is "Standard" calendar

Unfortunately I do not have PP 2007 working with me.

Did you try opening the Project Professional in Connected Mode to Server and clicking Project Information.

In the Project Information check if you can find your standard calendar.

Do above while you open a new project plan, do not use you current project plan which is having problem.

This will clear doubt if its happening only with this project or all other projects.

Also check if your Enterprise Calendar is checked-in and not checked out for editing.

Both "Standard" and "Standard1" calendars are available in Project information.

But i cannot edit the resources calendar in resource center, i.e. if i select a resource in resource center and open it in ms project, in the resource sheet base calendar field i can see only "Standard1" calendar not "Standard" calendar.

The next thing I would try would be to close Project Pro, then find and delete all copies of global.mpt on your desktop computer.  Then restart Project Pro.

    Hi Reid,

Can you tell me how to delete global.mpt files?

You delete global.mpt just as you would any other file.

    Close Microsoft Project.

Use Windows Explorer to find all copies of global.mpt (there may be more than one).  Select each one and click Delete.

When you restart Project, a new (clean) global.mpt will be created automatically.
