Saved Timesheet Hours (not submitted) disappear when the associated project is published.

Thursday, February 16, 2012 1:58 PMWe have resources who save their PWA timesheets entries on a daily basis (Send Timesheet is weekly) and during the week if the associated project plan is published, those saved hours will disappear. We are using Project Server 2010. We have installed only the June 2011 cumulative update for Project Server 2010 and MS Project 2010 (SP1 MSO 14.0.6106.5005). The "Only allow task updates via Tasks and Timesheets" option is selected. The problem can be repeated by just opening the plan and then going directly to publishing the plan, without making any edits. Why is this happening?

I have June 2011 CU and SP1 (On project server) both installed, and I cannot replicate this. Unfortunately, I do not have a pre-sp1 system to test with.
So, I am infering that something got fixed in SP1.
Are these tasks Manually scheduled, by any chance? I remember an issue with Manually Scheduled tasks similar to this pre-SP1.

Thanks. All tasks are auto scheduled.
Our resolution, until we implement the latest SP and hopefully get this fixed, is to have the project resources complete a "Send Status" after they complete a "Save". If the Project Manager wants to publish their plan, they will need to go to the "Approval Center" and "Accept" the hours first.
