Also, please look at which CDN Cache servers are throwing errors. Example:

    i1.social.microsoft.com
    i2.social.microsoft.com
    i3.social.microsoft.com
    i4.social.microsoft.com

    Thank you

I got one like that, completely out of the blue.  Pages have been rendering properly since the update, then one off.  I captured the HTML with Firebug and uploaded it here...

    Brent,

can I suggest a change of Title.

The "Please Help!" in the Title led me to believe that this was a cry for help from a user (unaware that by posting he was already asking for help ...), rather than a message from the forum site administrators.

This led me to ignoring it for several passes.

I'm getting it like this after page refresh. It only occurs sometimes and not fixed. This was My Forums Thread page and I refreshed it after ~30mins.
    I'm using Firefox 3.5 on Windows 7

    Thanks

Sounds like you're not getting the CSS from our cache servers. I'm going to merge this thread to this.

If you're behind a proxy/firewall/NAT that you're not blocking any content from microsoft.com sites?

If possible, connect to a different network and see if you're still seeing the problem. I've seen this case if there are restrictions set on your proxy and/or firewall.

There's an easy explanation for this problem.  Every page in this forum site is built from dozens of web server requests.  Each of them can fail with an error 500, an error can that be frequent at times.  Especially around the time this thread got started.  There is no way to see this happening from the page itself, the error falls in the bit-bucket if it isn't the main page that failed to download.  I've seen this from Firebug traces.  If it happens to be the CSS request, the final page isn't going to look good.

Yes, this is true. Though, most of the CSS and javascripts are coming from cached servers that starts with i1, i2, etc... Usually this is where we see the issue that clients are not able to hit those CDN servers (i1, i2, etc...)

    Hello,

I apologize for high-jacking this post, but I am at my wits end trying to use this forum, so to me, the Forums UI does seem broken.

Please, please, please, please add a regular New Post button!

It took me several minutes of fruitless searching, and then a referral to the FAQ, to find out your incredibly misguided requirement that you "ask a question". I asked my question, and got NO USEFUL MATCHES, AND NO NEW POST BUTTON.

I need to be able to post my question about Windows Installer administrative installs. How can I do that?

    Thanks,
    John

We have concluded most of the original reports of this problem were caused by various end user's corporate proxies causing problems and errors in requesting and/or caching required support files (css, javascript). If these problems continue, please create a new question with details described above in the inital root post.

    Thanks
