Right now the quick reply pane is an iframe with <body contentEditable="true">. My mobile phone does not recognize it as a text input so it does not popup input methods when I set focus on the body. I am also not able to move the cursur using the trackpad because the reply pane isn't a text input.
Right now I have to do a refresh and touch the reply button before the page finish loading so I get to the simple reply page .

The fourms need to be smartphone friendly, and they are not smartphone friendly. I can read the posts, but I cannot reply to one nor can I make a new post, becuase I cannot type in the Body when using a smartphone. A lot of professionals are starting to use smartphones in lieu of using a laptop and dragging a laptop around for day-2-day personal activies using a computer.
Maybe a NNTP Bridge application can be developed for the smartphones, like there is a Bing application that has been developed for the Andriods.

Ouch. There have been a few platform updates on both sides that might have solved this issue.
Still an issue?

Ed, I cannot reply to http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/SearchFeedback/thread/416c5610-69c1-44dc-82ff-df5b6eca89e9, which you moved to a forum that only moderators can post. But the search problem still exists.

You might want to address the reply forum issue separately, since that isn't what this question thread is about.
Looks like the entire "MSDN and TechNet Search Feedback" forum is locked (without any visual indicator or note that it is).

Regarding the remote issue, I believe there are bugs like this logged around the mobile experience. The new editor might iron out some of those bugs.

Looks like telerik doesn't support ipad/iphone, they documented code on detecting the browser and swapping out the ux, which we'll look into. So people can at least use forums.
