HELO/EHLO domain is invalid

Hello

I have installed an exchange server 2007 , everythings works well , but some external domains get rejecting e-mails with this text:

No se ha podido realizar la entrega a estos destinatarios o listas de distribución:

Could you help me with this issue, I have checked the MX registers and is ok, in the smtp conector I have mail.domain.com.

Not receiving "Alerts"?

I have "Altert Me" checked but I rarely get an alter Email. I get one once every 3 weeks or so, if I'm lucky. At first I thought it was due to no responses, but when I goto this web site and login and do a "My Threads" I see I have responses.

Does "Alert Me" mean it will send an Email to me when a new post to my thread has been added/updated?

If so, why the heck isn't this working?

We deployed a minor update today to the forums application. Since this deployment (5PM pacific time) we have noticed some delays in alerts, activities and recognition point recalculations. Users may see delays in seeing user activities showing up in the profile app, delays in live alert deliveries and user's points may not be updated for a while after they trigger an event which rewards points.

We will continue looking into this issue until it is resolved. I'll post an update tomorrow on where we are at. Thanks for everyone's patience!

I'm trying to use a CustomValitator on a textbox in a FormView Item template. My problem is when I do a ServerValidation event handler on the aspx page, it says my textbox is not declared. Can anybody help me.

duplicated accounts?

I used to use account with display name "Hao Xu - MSFT". Then I tried to change the display name to "Hao Xu - [MSFT]". When I did that, I was given an error saying someone was using that. After that, the posts I made on the Windows Web Services API forum (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wwsapi/threads/) were shown under two names. Clicking on the two names gives different stats. Can someone help fix this problem and merge the points?

Bit of help with forum please. I dont seem to be seeing all threads that i've added too or subscribed to in the 'My Threads' section, it seems to have a limit of 4 is that correct? I can't seem to see any settings where this can be changed, it's just i know i've added threads/contributed to threads etc but there not showing there(other than 4 of my original ones. Cheers, Mike.

I don't see my updates from the last 30 minutes. Usually I see the "My Threads" update after 3/5 minutes.

I am trying to add questions to forums but after I hit submit, it doesn't appear anywhere in the forum or under MY Threads. I have waited an hour. Does it take longer?

I got this error several times already. Basically, it looks like when I try to propose an answer on the thread I didn't refresh and the answer I'm trying to propose is already marked as an answer. Should it somehow give a better description of a problem than "unspecified error"?

My Threads again not up to date (but looks as if it is)

I discovered a mass of unanswered posts when going direct to the forums.

I was up-to-date in My Forum Treads (it seemed)

Also going to see the threads of a known spammer didn't help as they were not up-to-date either (so I again had to go direct to forums he haunts to get rid of his spams).

(Yes I know there is another thread but the update to that might well not be noticed.)

Hey All
Of late I find that if I am in the opsmgr forum and I am in say General, and then want to go back to have a look at a few others when I just try and go back I get the You are not authorized to perform this action.

I was recently on site and someone else was experiencing the same issue. Im getting it with ie7 and 8

Anyone else getting this?

Also the search function does not seem to search the forums, if I want to find something I start a new question with a title I am interested in and then when I start on the body I get the " related topics" where it will go and search the forums for the topic, anyone else experiencing this?

Popular Threads list doesn't contain the right threads

Seems to be a problem in pretty much all of the forums. But here are a few I've looked at:

I know there have been a few outages lately, but it seems like I'm unable to find the results I expect pretty much every time I do a search.

Can you please create a short template that lists the info you'd need from us to be able to investigate search problems?

Current example: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7hardware/threads Search for x-fi. You'll only get 2 hits. I know there's at least a third, because it's on the "popular threads" list.

I would like to change the email address, which I use to sign in the forums, but to keep my display name, points, threads and other account related stuff. How can I do that? If I follow these links: "My Profile" => "Edit Profile" => "Manage My Personal Information", then I see a different email in the "My E-Mail Address" section, it's not the one which I use to sign in. I can change the email in "My E-Mail Address" section, but I don't want to: on the contrary - it's the right one, it's the address I would like to use as a login when I sign in istead of the current one. Please help me!

How do you sign in to your Profile?

I am signing in again with a new profile in order to enquire about my original profile for these forums. When I began to Ask a Question yesterday, I was asked for a Profile Name, which I gave as Caillah, and I proceeded with my question. My question is still out there with my name on it. Today, I notice that at the top right hand corner it asks me to Create a Profile. I can't access my profile as Caillah, nor am I likely to receive an alert to any answer. I did not get any option to set up anything in the profile or set up an email address or any other information. When I return to this site, how do I sign in?

Can we please get the extra blank lines in the code editor fixed?

It has been quite a while now that this bug has existed, where when you edit or quote a code block, there are extra <br> tags that get inserted.

It's been reported numerous times. Can we please get a fix? The annoyance level is really high, and it has been quite some time.

My Droid and the Body field

I try to tap in the body field that appears to reply to a message and it flashes for a half second, as if it's going to open the virtual keyboard on my Droid, but then doesn't continue.

First site I've come across that behaves that way.

Is there a way in the forum profile to change the behavior of this field? Or a specific URL to use instead of this one for mobile devices (if it doesn't automatically detect it)?

Proposing as Answer on threads you start

On one of my posts on a thread (here ) I decided to Propose as Answer. I can do so on every other thread, right? But this one I started, so I can mark answers but there is no Propose as answer button, so with a bit of curiosity I found this out... Let's look at the screenshots...

First you see what post I am trying to Propose on.

Now that we opened the link in a new tab, this comes up.

As you can see, the 'set' in front of the 'Answer' denotes the Marking as Answer, replacing that with 'propose' gives this:

Now just place a check in the box...

and pressing Submit delivers this:

So I can't Propose Answers on my own threads, yet I can propose answers everywhere else? This doesn't make sense to me, please explain.

Many of us have experienced the inability to re-edit our posts at one time or another. Either we are greeted by raw html, else a pure white page where our text formerly was. I just ran into that a moment ago. Studying and experimenting with it, I found this tag <div class=body> had somehow been captured in the quote. That was the source of the problem.

I'm having problems with editing a post sometimes, more often than not, I can click Edit and a blank screen will come up rather than the text that was entered before that I wanted to edit (eg., spelling, additional information, etc. )

I have noticed that code inserted in code blocks do not appear formatted correctly when viewed as posted to any of the forums that I have visited and posted to. I always use a code block and normally specify C++ when posting C++ or C# code.

What could be the problem and can anyone offer a fix?

in almost all the forums i can see there is repetition of answers ? when i say repetition it does not mean same but means just duplicate and i have noticed this in almost all my subscribed forums like the example link below , i may be wrong too please correct me if see anything wrong , just want to alert the administrator to look into the issue.

Forums UI Seems Broken, Please Help!

A few users have recently reported problems to the “vb insiders” listserver. The symptoms are similar to what we see when we have new monthly deployments and our CDN cache is not flushed or reset, the user interface becomes disturbed because required resource files (like static css and javascript) are not available. Since the html needs the css and static javascript resources that cannot be loaded the page looks like the below.

If any users experience this it will be really helpful if they can capture it using a tool like fiddler (http://www.fiddler2.com/fiddler2/)? And then archive the results and log a bug in our Forums Online Connection (http://connect.microsoft.com/site/sitehome.aspx?SiteID=927)? Also, when this happens again, if the report can also explain if sister sites like http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/profile/ or http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/search/ have the same problem, this will help us understand how isolated this might be.

Can't Reply To A Thread I Started

When I try to reply to a thread I started in the Office 2010 Technical Preview Forum the reply button is missing. It does show up in other forums however. Is the Office 2010 a closed forum? If it was I would have figured it wouldn't let me post there. Frustrating that I can't reply back on a thread I started.

Someone should take a look at Training and Certification forum. I think this forum is hacked or some people spamming it. Some users should be banned. This is a great forum and many people come here for help. We need help to fix the problem. I am not a moderator and I am not sure if our moderator is active enough to resolve this issue soon.

I think this has come up before. I tried searching, but search seems to be busted right now (I select search this forum only, and I get a lot of KB articles in the search results).

Expected behavior:
"Mark as read" should mark all posts in all threads as read.
After that point, when new posts arrive in those threads, the thread should be bold again (to indicate there are new posts)

Actual behavior:
"Mark as read" marks all posts in all threads as read.
After that point, when new posts arrive in some threads, the thread does not go bold again. It doesn't happen in all threads. Next time I'm 100% sure I've seen it in a thread, I can flag it. Doesn't seem to repro on demand.

I'm sorting by most recent post, so I see the threads bump to the top, but they aren't marked as new.

Anyone else seeing this?
