I am having trouble in creating a new build type in my Team project. On the second screen of the wizard, no solutions are shown, though I have already created one ASP.NET web application and checked into the source control.

Are you still having trouble with creating a new build type in TFS?

There are couple of things that you need to verify before creating the TFS Build. First, I am assuming all the work you are doing is in the same Workspace. Second, when you said you have added the ASP.net application to the Source Control - you have checked in the Solution (.sln) correct? Please open up the Source Control for the TFS project and make sure the Visual Stuido Solution is there. The TFS Build happens on the VS Solutions.
Once you have a TFS team project, with VS solution added to it and then when you try creatng the Build Type, the solution(s) would appear when you click the Selections tab. You can specify the order in which you want to build them and then you can specify other settings like build drop, build location, configurations, etc.
Please provide more details if you still have any issues.
