I just bought a Welland ME-601J E-Sata HDD Dock.
It came with some software to enable a one touch backup function, and it installs fine in Vista, also in XP on one of my other machines, but it refuses to install on the machine I need it on :|
It keeps giving me the following error.

Now I've contacted Welland, which is actually
www.welland.com.tw (surprise surprise) and they inform me that it's an OS problem and not their software. Which I guess I agree with since it worked on my other XP machine, but their only suggestion was to format/re-install. Surely there must be another way. Re-install is just not an option at this point.
Could this be something to do with Install Shield perhaps? Or is it definitly a windows issue? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated.
