I know yahoo and google penalize a site that has uploaded a sitemap under www.lingerieoasis.com and lingerieoasis.com. I'm told they read this as duplicate content. Does MSN have a similiar penalty?

    Thanks.

If you have not canonicalized your site, what you are asking is a possibility. Otherwise, no. We will only use the canonicalized version.

Hi Brett, so what happens when you have properly canonicalized your site and Yahoo continues to show the www and non-www versions in the results?

It takes time with Yahoo.  I've seen it happen countless times, it will take them literally weeks to remove the inappropriate version.  Live seems to do it much faster.
