Our business site utilizes a proxy server. Not all employees have access to the Internet via IE browser, though all users do have access to our Intranet via IE. Those persons that DO have access may check the "Remember my password" box when the proxy prompt appears requiring userID and password to leave our Intranet. Once they've done that, any user with access to the PC can utilized the save creditials and gain access to the Internet.
I've tried to to lock proxy via policy, but I haven't found sufficient keys to effectively do that. Is there a registry key, or some method we may use to not allow persons to save their password? We run XP SP2 Pro and IE 6 with various patches.
As an aside, would SMS allows us to lock the machines where Active Directory groups polices alone have proven insufficient?
