     Here's another suggestion for future editions--unless it is already in place and I just don't know where to find it:

     How about a MIDI input? Many musicians are much more comfortable with creating a melody on a MIDI instrument instead of a voice. Of course you can do that by using the audio out of your MIDI instrument, but some of my MIDI instruments are simply controllers.
