    Dear Kun Tan and all,
Is it possible for you to provide us with a more precise release date of Sora? Will it be in the first quarter of this year? We would very much love to purchase and use Sora for our demo since it's by far the most superior solution for SDR development; however we also need to consider our schedule this year and start to implement the demo ASAP.

    thanks,

    Lee

    Hi Lee,

The MSR Software Radio Academic Kit wil definitely be available in the first quarter.
The API definition (header files) and SDK reference document will be published through MSR download website this month.
The interface card and it's driver should be available by the end of Feburary.

    Thanks,
    Qiufeng

    Dear Qiufeng,
Thanks alot for the information. For our budget reason at France Telecom Japan, would you know by any chance how much approximately the Sora kit (as in the Radio Control Board PCI card) will cost? And I assume that the SDK (the software component) will be free for non-commercial use?

    thanks,

    Lee

    Dear Qiufeng,
Also in terms of 'compatible radio front-end' with Sora board, do you have a list of the compatible radio front-end that we can purchase (i.e., 2.4/5GHz)? Also, how much do they normal cost?

    thanks again,

    Lee

    Hi, Lee,

Yes, the SDK is free for non-commercial use.
Actually the SDK is strict for non-commercial use only.

We don't have the exact price of RCB yet. It depends on the manufacture cost.
But as a rough estimation, several K$ is rational.

Currently we tested WARP radio frond-end on our SORA platform.
Please check http://warp.rice.edu/trac/wiki/Radio%20Board for more information.

More radio frond-end will be added to the list in future.
