Is multi-mode system implementation feasible?
-
Thursday, September 16, 2010 3:15 AMhi, I've learned that 802.11b and LTE are partially implemented on Sora platform. Since Sora is, mostly, a software programmable radio system, so I wonder if multi-mode communication system can be constructed using Sora. For example, GSM and LTE together are implemented in a single Sora machine with USRP V1.0?

Current version does not support this. But next version might do. Thanks.

Friday, September 17, 2010 1:43 AMThanks for answering my questions. May I ask how's the project going since the Sora SDK 1.01 and 802.11b sample code have been published? Is there a time schedule/ feature list of the next release?

Hi Yi,
The next release of Sora SDK (ver 1.1) is schedule at Nov 2010.
Along with this new release, we will provide Sora User-Mode Extension (so you can write user-mode program to process signals), Vector1 library (helping writing SIMD code without assembly) and new samples.
Stay alert,
