1,when I use iperf testing the rate of 802.11a, when I set the rate to 6000, the real rate is 3M, when set 12000, the real rate 6M, when >18000, the rate is constant 10M. Why?

2, I transfer the vedio file by socket. No matter how fast I set the parameter, the real rate is no more than 100K byte/s. How to improve the rate ?

    thank you!

sorry, I checked it , found that there is a "10m" parameter in the cmd line,  maybe it limit the rate <10m. I will try it again.

But why when I set the rate to 6000, the real rate is 3M, when set 12000, the real rate 6M?

    Thank you.

There are extra costs in TCP/IP, for example, headers, control packets.
