Reinstalling Windows -> Can SyncToy be used without having problems - Where does SyncToy store all its logs and folderpairs (migration into a new windows-installation)
I used SyncToy about one year having absolutely no problem, I synchronized about 5 folder-pairs fom my Data-HDD to my Storage-NAS.
Then I installed a new SSD in my computer and off course I had to reinstall Windows and also SyncToy.
The question now is, can I just recreated the folder-pairs and use SyncToy again or are important log-files deleted? So should I delete all SyncToy-Files on my NAS and then create the folder-pairs? Where are the log-files stored of SyncToy? Is it also possible
to copy the necessary files of the folder-pairs, so you just copy the files to your new windows-installation and you can use SyncToy without recreating anything? Did anyone experience troubles by migrating to a new Windows-installation?
