Locked Exchange cardinal services could not start on the Edge Server

    After installing the exchange 2007 SP1 Edge Role, then install the rollup 5 I found that Exchange cardinal services could not start , tried to start it manually, I got the error :

    unable to start in a timely fashion.

    While another Edge server without rollup 5 don’t have the problem,

     

    what I did ( to troubleshoot )is to start the services under local administrator account, its worked fine.

     

    Any one have an idea how to solve the issue.
