    Hey Jamie,

    The Vine user directory isn't searchable in this beta. You can invite using email addresses. The PTA example is valid, but isn't supported at this point unless an email list of members is available.

    This email address search would be very helpful for me.  Maybe we could allow members to 'open' their email address for display on selected lists as they choose.  Then other the viewers could invite them to join their group.  Members could allow their email address to be displayed in various lists, e.g. in geographical areas, or by subject (Red Cross) or function (responder).

    Thanks Jamie, Kim, and yes -- there should be a member directory in the future. Kim's comment is to the point -- there's a balance to strike between privacy and reach. Vine leans towards real communities, as opposed to hundreds of "friends" or "followers" folks may have on some social networks.
