You can find out more at SearchClash.com For example Bing Web and Bing News could be combined or Bing Web and Twitter Search etc... We are excited for the new Bing search and the Bing API team! - Join SourceType resultset to TableAdapter?Anyone give me a hand here? I'm doing a PhoneBook SourceType query and I want to do left outer join on the resultset to a datatable based on PhoneNumber and be left with a single dataset I can present in a grid to the end-user.

The results from the Live Search is basically a collection (as I'm sure most of you know) -- but I was looking for a way to create a DataRelation between the search resultset and a datatable. Anyone know how to do this?

The way I was thinking of is: Create a new datatable in memory and copy the results from the search then do the datarelation from this memory table to my SQL populated datatable..

But, I'd rather not go through that interim step if possible, having to loop through each result and creating a new table.

Is there any easy way to copy or clone the search results to a datatable? Or a way to directly establish a datarelation or join between the search results and an existing datatable?

Thanks!

HeatSat, 30 May 2009 21:09:25 of Use QuestionI have an idea for building a search engine using Live Search API. I would like to display a small amount of cached data from each site alongside each corresponding search result. However, I fear that the following statement from the terms of use might prohibit this:

"You will not ... [intermix] Live Search results with search results from other sources, or if I were to display the results in two columns, clearly marked "my cached data" and "Live Search results", so that it is clear that my data is not part of the search results?Mon, My name is Liem Luong. This is the first time i post the topic on this forum. I hope i can get help from here.

I am doing my research for my school senior project. The topic i am working on is Natural Language Processing.
I am using Live Search API. I am able to retrieve the search results from Live Search API and display them on my scrowviewer in WPF window.
The problem is:
* Instead of display directly from the Live Search on the WPF windows, i want to store all of the results in one XML file.
* Because i want to do some Natural Language Processing calculation to filter out the results in order to improve the accuracy.
* Delete the bad results and rerank the oder of the results.
* Finally, i will display the final results (from the XML file) on to the WPF windows.

I have search online alot. I see many discussings about the ADO.NET, LING... I don't know which is the the best way to store the Live Search results in an XML format after user hit the search button and how to do it. Any suggestion would be help. I appreciate your helps.

Once again, thank you for your time on helping me.

Liem Luong

Sun, 15 Feb 2009 07:46:51 Z2009-04-03T03:16:33Zhttp://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/webmasterlivesearchapi2.0/thread/c31ce35b-2f13-48b1-98b1-615fd1d8742fhttp://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/webmasterlivesearchapi2.0/thread/c31ce35b-2f13-48b1-98b1-615fd1d8742fMrRonghttp://social.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=MrRongHow do I get rid of all of the repeats?I am brand new to this api, using JSON for my returns. I did a query, but the front page is full of links to the exact same page, with different variables in the URL. How can I clean this up?

Here is the code.

var requestStr = "http://api.search.live.net/json.aspx?"

// Common request fields (required)
+ "AppId=" + AppId
+ "&Query=Cher%20site:harrahs.com%20OR%20site:caesarspalace.com"
+ "&Sources=Web"

// Common request fields (optional)
+ "&Version=2.0"
+ "&Market=en-us"
+ "&Adult=Moderate"
+ "&Options=EnableHighlighting"

// Web-specific request fields (optional)
+ "&Web.Count=10"
+ "&Web.Offset=0"
+ "&Web.FileType=DOC"
+ "&Web.Options=DisableHostCollapsing+DisableQueryAlterations"

// JSON-specific request fields (optional)
+ "&JsonType=callback"
+ "&JsonCallback=SearchCompleted";
Tue, 24 Mar 2009 21:16:44 Z2009-03-28T05:40:07Zhttp://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/webmasterlivesearchapi2.0/thread/bf9df301-634e-4883-ae4e-b1b41e51a21dhttp://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/webmasterlivesearchapi2.0/thread/bf9df301-634e-4883-ae4e-b1b41e51a21dMattymatoohttp://social.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=MattymatooAd Revenue
Hi,

Is there any revenue sharing from click-through's to 'Ad' results in API 2.0?

Thanks

Matt
Wed, 31 Dec 2008 15:22:23 Z2009-03-24T06:27:10Zhttp://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/webmasterlivesearchapi2.0/thread/9048bc12-d22d-4a10-8bac-0827049db21fhttp://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/webmasterlivesearchapi2.0/thread/9048bc12-d22d-4a10-8bac-0827049db21fme11http://social.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=me11Where has the feed search gone? I am also utilizing live search as my local site search provider (using the "site:" filter in the search API).

For the local site search, I would like to be able to fine-tune the results to ignore text that appears in the site menus on some pages.
