How to keep all email in Outlook 2010 (imap) but delete from server?

I'm using Outlook 2010 (imap). I'd like to keep my server purged of all mail, but would like all mail (sent/received) to remain in Outlook folders.
How might I go about achieving this, please?

youd propably should use pop3/smtp then.
