smart client factory 2008 and windows 7

I'm have trouble installing the scf 2008 on windows 7, is it compatible with windows 7 and visual studio 2008? I'm hesitant to use visual studio 2010 and scf 2010 with windows 7 because of potential compatability issues.

this is forum related to office and VSTO issues - i guess you should ask on codeplex where project is hosted.

I'm not sure what you mean by a codeplex project. I'm trying to find out if it is possible to install the smart client factory 2008 and visual studio 2008 on windows 7.

What is CF 08? Where did you get it? Got a link?

In general, this sounds like it should go into a VS Setup forum. Agreed?

I'm not seeing a setup forum there. Not even a General forum.

They exist for Express (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/vsexpress) and VSTS (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/vsts).

Anybody know where to ask setup questions for VS?
