I have Windows Home Server 2011 rollup 1. Everyone is talking about rollup 2 but I do not see an update option for this and my WHS 2011 about screen shows rollup 1 only not 2. Is there a way to get thsi manually or am I missing something?
THanks.

Run Windows Update from the Dashboard (Server Settings, Change/Install Updates) if you have not got updates to install Automatically. See here:

Thanks for the reply. I may have missed it, however couple things:
1. Your Server Settings > Change/Install Updates just takes me back to the built in OS Windows Update. No new updates.
2. The article you pointed me to shows what changed and only shows me that I should use Windows Update to install my updates.
Let me know if I missed something.
Thanks.

Check Installed Updates for the word "Rollup" as that is all it will say. If you see the word "Rollup" then you have the update.

Hi JR,
Thanks for posting here.
Have we completed the out-of-box experience (OOBE) process on server ? unless we completed that otherwise server may not obtain any update.
An update for Windows Home Server is available: January 25, 2011
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981089/en-us
Thanks.

How do we know if it is refering to Rollup 1 or 2 since the search results do not specify?
Thanks.

Hi 7ravis,
Thanks for posting here.
I meant the items in initial configuration when we first start the WHS:
Complete Windows Home Server 2011 initial configuration

Right, but how do we get Rollup 2?
You get it from Windows Update; there's no other way to obtain it.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
