Hi, My dad has installed windows xp media centre edition 2002 on my computer, thinking it was an updated version. This was installed over my windows xp home edition which come, when i brought the p.c. When accessing windows xp media centre edition  there are no programes on it and have lost what was on there before. But when i access the computers hard drive all my old data/ information/ programes are on there, but can not use any of them. I was wounding wether, if i was to uninstall the media centre edition, it would give me the old home edition back and all my information how it use to be. Would this work?? If so how would i go about uninstalling the windows xp media edition and get the old one back? Or is there something else i can doo??

Im thankfull for all comment and responses as i really need help on this and have no computer really, until i sort this out.

    Thnaks daz
