  Hello this is my first time tring forums as I am an old newsgroup reader. I am trying to acclimate to forums as newsreaders seem to be dying due to financial reasons however they are much more readable and discernable than forums that are rather cryptic in they format.
  Could you please tell me two things
  1. what is the difference between a reply and a quote ?
  2. Where is the forum policy at that I am supposed to read ? I clicked on your post and it brought me here.

  Reply doesn't quote the original post whereas quote does.
