Seems to built in hardware firewall in some Asus mobo's. Probably you can uninstall/disable using your driver CD. Also Please checkout http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=4126- Marked As Answer by Ian Bennington Thursday, October 15, 2009 5:30 PM

After a fresh install of the OS, on a new drive I got this after using Microsoft Updates
Tried to fix the old drive exactly the way the help and support instructions gave, and the
computer went sizzle.
Now with the basic software installed and updating the machine to SP3 this has
happened again. It is coming from one of the updates. Going to re-install the OS
and update one update at a time to see which one does it.
