WHS PC Restore - PC will not boot to restore menu

I am trying to restore a Dell XPS 400 from a HP Media Server LX195. When I put the pc restore disk in and attempt to boot from it the CD I do not get the PC restore console. The system just hangs after reading the files and going through the build bar.
I downloaded a "new" version of PC restore from MS website, put on CD and tried again but same issue.
Please help!

if you have a second client, to which you can attach the disk to which you want to restore:

My posting in this thread explains, how to use a Windows 7 DVD to create a flash drive with the necessary files for a restore.
