Drive Extender, extended replicationHello,<div><br></div><div>i think users should be able to choose how 'safe' they want their data.</div><div>Right now we are presented with two choices:</div><div><br></div><div>1) File on one disk (Duplication off)</div><div>2) File on two disks (Duplication on)</div><div><br></div><div>I recently had the pleasure of experiencing two crashing (usb) drives at the same time. </div><div>I'm now facing the loss of my data that was exclusively duplicated between these two drives.</div><div><br></div><div>Since the Drive Extender's concept makes sure that similar files are located on the same drive I'm probably about to lose a great part of my music and movies collection...</div><div><br></div><div>So the question basically is:</div><div><br></div><div><span class=Apple-style-span style="font-weight:bold">Let the user choose how much he wants to replicate (more than 2 times).</span></div><div><span class=Apple-style-span style="font-weight:bold"><br></span></div><div>If it were for me, I would replicate about three to four times.
