You can find this out yourself by looking on Connect.

His confusion probably stems from the fact that in your initial response
you provided the URL for downloading the eval of PP3 for WHS V1 which has
nothing at all to do with Vail.

Notice where I moved it from? My assumption (and the link I provided) was reasonable.

I have looked for 5 days on connect.microsoft.com.

If I start here: https://connect.microsoft.com/directory/accepting-bugs no luck.

If I go here: https://connect.microsoft.com/WindowsHomeServer?wa=wsignin1.0 no luck

If I go here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/windowshomeserver/eval.mspx no luck

If I look here: https://connect.microsoft.com/programdetails.aspx?ProgramDetailsID=1475 no luck.

    so where do I look?

    thanks

the donwload is still very much live at https://connect.microsoft.com/WindowsHomeServer?wa=wsignin1.0

if you are having connect issues, maybe try going to https://connect.microsoft.com/WindowsHomeServer first, sign-ing in at that time, whcih will then link you to the URL above

The August 16 link should do it. That is if you're registered on Connect.

    Links don't work for me.

I even signed in with different live id.

I registered a new live id. Signed up for connect. Still nothing.

Later, I went to another machine, then signin in with  3rd live id and now I can download Vail.

    thanks for all the help.

Nancy Ward's link worked fine here, one needs to log-on to Connect first, before the DL's show up though.

I'm glad you finally got it.

FYI, there have been some problems with Connect in the past several days (possibly a week), so that may be your problem.

Yeah, I forgot that; anyhoo, once you're logged on, you should be able to go to Windows Home Server and from there to the downloads.

My thinking is that David has been bitten by the Connect Bug that's been chewing on quite a few folks for the past week or so.
